Cinnamon Raisin Apples - 21 day fix approved

Image
I couldn't WAIT to make breakfast this morning!  I anxiously waited since Friday to make this recipe... it's like  "crustless pie in a cup"  lol Mmmm so yummy! It's comforting - perfect for fall season because it is warm and warms your home with that baked apple pie smell ~ mmmm it's versatile - we change it up! Sub in all kinds of stuff like, peaches, berries, dried fruit such as mangos, cranberries, apricots, add walnuts, spices, dried oats, and so many other things!  It's easy - I use my actifry - these things are magnificent - I love mine!  (stovetop requires stirring) **I've yet to bake it, maybe that will be something to try in the near future and will post a crockpot recipe next week** It's kid approved - bonus!!   It's delicious even if it isn't hot/warmed!  All you have to do is  Wash, peel and cut  8 medium apples and throw them in the actifry (or large pot/deep pan on low if doing...

Crockpot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Image
Good Morning! I don't know about you but I'm definitely not someone who has always found it easy to get breakfast into me in the morning - I'm probably more likely to do a workout than eat a good breakfast in the morning - because of this, for years I struggled with night hunger and eating which aided heavy feelings along with my weight - so I started small, a banana, Mandarin, grapes or my Shakeology - AND WATER!! Small and easy - still fuelling your body - which I still do for the most part in the morning - however once you start feeding yourself in the morning you will find you just start getting  more of an appetite daily. With my busy family of 5, people are always up at different times in the morning - this recipe was wonderful! Everyone had breakfast ready when they got up AND my house smelt amazing!! My son refers to it as apple crumble oatmeal lol which I think is great!  1 1/2 C milk (almond, skim or 1%) 1 1/2 C water 1 tbsp vanilla extract 1 C uncooke...

Crockpot left overs!

Image
Hi Everyone!! Today I wanted to touch base on leftovers ... Ever have those leftover meal prep containers you or someone else didn't get to and don't know what to do with? Last week I wasn't well, and unfortunately wasn't able to eat on que - so this just happened to me - and for just starting to feel better I wasn't into anything that required a lot of time and attention, especially seeing as I had to get my family ready for the week ahead as well... so I thought - I'm going to throw  them all in the crockpot with my favourite spices, a little coconut and Extra virgin olive oil and see what happens lol - So I did... and WOW! 4 hours later - it came out better than ever imagined! My kids gobbled it up like crazy and asked to take it for lunch tomorrow too, which was pretty impressive seeing as my daughter doesn't like stir fry! WHOO HOO !! Lol My left overs consisted of  2 boneless skinless chicken breast cut into strips  Whole kosher carrots...

Don't ever give up!

Image
In 2014 I weighed in at 190lbs  - even through pregnancy, this is was an all time high for me. In 2009 I began my weight GAIN, My life began to take a drastic change (some good, some bad), One of them being, I quit smoking.  To be honest. my weight was the last thing on my mind, until it was almost the only thing on my mind.... Day after day, I was tired, not wanting to buy myself nice things,  not wanting to go places because I didn't feel comfortable with who I was... In 2014 I got mad at myself -  like something just clicked and I realized that I was going to have to make myself a priority.. and when that first decision was made, the rest followed. I got determined, and I made some changes..  In doing so, I lost more than 50lbs....  I also lost 100 doubts a day I lost that drained and tired feeling and it was replaced with energy and a want to do things again. I lost the inability to fit comfortably into my own clothes. I lost the...
